Haryana Global City: A Government-Backed Vision for Gurugram
Haryana Global City is one of India's most visionary urban projects, designed as a smart, sustainable, and mixed-use township bringing together residential, commercial, institutional, and entertainment zones over 1,000 acres near Dwarka Expressway and NH-8. The project carries an investment potential of $15 billion.
The mixed land-use project is envisioned as a "city within a city" over 1,080 acres along the eight-lane under construction Dwarka Expressway, in Sectors 36B, 37A and 37B in Gurugram. The project, with an investment of over Rs 1 lakh crore, is expected to benefit approximately 16 lakh people and generate around five lakh employment opportunities once completed. It includes dedicated zones for residential, commercial, hospitality, and educational institutions.
Signature Global's Role
High-end developers like DLF, M3M, Elan, and Signature Global are likely to participate in the project. As a developer with extensive operations in Gurugram, Signature Global is positioned to contribute residential units within this larger ecosystem.
Signature Global's Track Record in Gurugram
Signature Global commenced its operations in 2014 through its subsidiary, Signature Builders Private Limited, with the launch of its Solera project on 6.13 acres of land in Gurugram, Haryana. As of March 31, 2023, the company had sold 27,965 residential and commercial units, all within the Delhi NCR region.
Signature Global commands a 36% market share in Gurugram's affordable and mid-housing sector. The developer has 56 residential and commercial projects in its portfolio, with 54 projects in Gurgaon.
New Gurugram: A Fast-Developing Hub
Sectors 81 to 95 (New Gurgaon) are evolving into a self-reliant hub rather than an upcoming suburb, located close to Indira Gandhi International Airport, future metro stations, and highways such as the Dwarka Expressway.
New Gurgaon real estate has become one of the most significant developments in India, transforming into both a residential and commercial hub positioned between Gurgaon and Manesar. The area has more than 15 renowned educational institutions including DPS and St. Xavier's; leading healthcare institutions including Apollo Cradle and AIIMS Jhajjar; and popular retail brands and entertainment hubs that enhance quality of life.
Project Timeline and Development
The first phase of the project is being developed as per global standards and would be completed by the end of the next year. In the first phase, Rs 940 crore is being spent on an area of 587 acres.
Connectivity and Strategic Importance
Connectivity is Global City's biggest strength. With backing from the Haryana Government and strategic alignment with DMIC, Global City Gurgaon is expected to become the biggest real estate and economic driver of the next decade.
The Haryana Government is developing the global city, and it is poised to serve as an important node to the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) sub-region of Haryana.
