Signature Global enters commercial real estate through RMZ partnership in Sector 71
Signature Global has announced its entry into the commercial real estate segment through a joint venture with RMZ, a leading leasing asset developer in South Asia. The company is restructuring its Gurugram project exposure while unlocking value through a larger capital infusion deal with RMZ.
Project scope and location
The partnership involves the development of an office-centric, mixed-use Grade-A asset with a planned leasable area of around 5.5 million square feet. In addition to office space, the project will also include retail and hotel components. The asset will be located on Southern Peripheral Road in Sector 71, Gurugram.
The project sits on approximately 7.513 acres in Sector 71, Gurugram, with development rights linked to 16,42,484 square feet of floor space index, including transferable development rights.
Investment and partnership structure
RMZ will invest approximately 12.8 billion rupees in Gurugram Commercity Limited (GCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Signature Global, in return for a 50 percent equity stake. The board approved these transactions on March 29, 2026, including stake dilution in its subsidiary Gurugram Commercity Limited.
Signature Global brings strong execution capabilities and development experience, while RMZ contributes its expertise in conceptualising and developing institutional-grade commercial assets.
Timeline and market context
Construction is expected to commence over the next six to nine months, with the project slated for completion in about five years.
